Patient Reports

After ProLab Consulting, LLC has performed an initial assessment of the laboratory’s patient reports for compliance with CLIA regulations and provided our client with a “Report of Laboratory Assessment”, the laboratory director may recognize a need for assistance with reporting patient results.

ProLab Consulting, LLC offers a “Patient Reports” service to assist with establishing and maintaining patient report in accordance with CLIA regulations. This service is for electronic and paper reports.

Our services for electronic patient reports include an evaluation of the patient reports and suggestions made to ensure CLIA compliance. ProLab Consulting, LLC cannot access the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and change how a report is generated. Only the company who supplied the LIS or EMR can do that, however, ProLab Consulting, LLC can assist the laboratory and the LIS / EMR staff by educating them on the CLIA requirements regarding test reports.

For facilities with paper patient records, ProLab Consulting, LLC will develop and / or revise patient reports to meet CLIA regulations. Any documents developed may be delivered electronically, by U.S. Mail, or with an on-site visit, (paper documents may be subject to an additional printing fee). Subsequent contact may be made electronically, via phone, or face-to-face, depending on the laboratory’s needs.

This service is offered as a one-time service.
